Chacarita
Connected and creative, with the cemetery on one side and a growing run of bakeries, bars and venues on the other — still with an edge.

Chacarita at a glance
The cemetery wall runs along one side, which sounds grim and is the reason the barrio stayed low and cheap for so long. Around Dorrego and Fraga, old mechanics' workshops have become bakeries, wine bars and small venues, and the crowd skews young, local and musician-adjacent. It is a transport knot — subte B, two railway lines and the Lacroze bus hub — so you get anywhere fast, and you also get blocks that are still dead after dark. Walk the exact street twice, once at night, before you sign anything.
Under-forties who want Palermo's food and music at a discount and don't mind an edge.
The part everyone means is a dozen blocks around Dorrego, and they have stopped pricing like the rest of the barrio.

A barrio is half the decision. The other half is the lease — the guarantee, the up-front cash, the contract terms — and that part we walk through with you.
