I want to find friends and build community in Buenos Aires

Events, groups and a weekly life here — not a giant expat chat you muted.

// what we help answer · las preguntas

The questions we help answer.

The short answer is here. The longer answer (specific to your situation) is what the call and written plan is for.

How do I find events that are actually relevant to my interests?

The city publishes a public agenda with filters by type, date and neighborhood, and every theater, cultural center and music venue keeps its own calendar. Meetup-style platforms cover the hobby and founder layer.

How do I find social groups — art, music, sports?

Pick something that happens every week. Sports: football, running clubs, padel, climbing gyms, cycling, and the city's free outdoor fitness programs. Arts: ceramics, drawing, photography, writing and theater workshops. Music and dance: a tango class and its milonga (a tango social dance night), salsa, small venues with a regular crowd.

How do I find professional connections — conferences, meetups?

Founder meetups, the tech-community and digital-nomad meetups, and coworkings that have a real recurring community rather than just desks.

Where can I find people who share my language, background or experience?

Sometimes you want people who share your language, culture or the experience of building a life in Buenos Aires. We get that. Cultural associations, language exchanges, newcomer groups and communities around shared interests can be good starting points. We help you find places and groups where you feel at home, alongside opportunities to meet locals.

Is there anything in English, or do I need Spanish for all of this?

There's plenty in English: intercambios (language-exchange meetups) such as Mundo Lingo, an event series that meets weekly across neighborhoods, English-friendly meetups, expat social clubs. The richer layer — the theaters, the workshops, the neighborhood stuff — runs in Spanish.

qué hacemos — y qué no

// what this is

Find your events, your groups and a weekly routine here — not another giant expat chat.

We help you pick one recurring anchor and one discovery layer for your neighborhood and your interests, and we share picks from the city's cultural calendar, which we keep a running agenda of.

  • ✓One recurring anchor — a class, a club, a team — picked for your neighborhood and interests
  • ✓One way to keep finding what's on that suits you, so it doesn't stop after the call
  • ✓Picks from the city's cultural calendar, matched to you
  • ✓An introduction at a sports club where that is the way in — the presenting member, the paperwork, the escuelita for the kids
// what this is not

Not a members' club.

We don't run events, host a members' club or promise you friends. We won't send you to a giant expat chat and call it community.

  • —Not legal representation in formal or contested cases.
  • —No guarantees on government approvals or timelines.
  • —We don't file applications on your behalf.
  • —We won't tell you what you want to hear.
